CRTC Provide High-Speed Internet service in Canada


Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission has decided to provide high-speed internet to each and every citizen of the country. This service can able to provide through landline phone service only so that landline phone connection is essential for high-speed internet facility. The Government of Canada has introduced a special package for this service, which is $750 million for this development will expect to complete within the next 5 years.

According to the report, CRTC has mentioned that the providing service offering downloading speed minimum 50 Mbps and uploading speed minimum 10 Mbps, this service providing speed will essential as mentioned in the report. When compared to the previous providing speed, next step service internet speed will ten times speed increases in Canada. The main aim of this service when internet connections increased then new technology or new updates may know by everybody so that development of the country will achieve.

At present condition in Canada country as well as in Indian country has provided Internet speed at low speed, which is an average 4.1 Mbps, but this speed also not achieving in some areas. So that internet speed is the major issue for the development especially in IT sector because now a day each and every work is doing through online. Consider all these factors the government has decided to make development by making special packages for improvement.

Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission chair Jean – Pierre Blais mentioned that the future of our economy, our prosperity and our society — indeed, the future of every citizen — requires us to set ambitious goals and to get on with connecting all Canadians for the 21st century. The Canadian Government will expect to provide high-speed internet connection 90 percent of the country may achieve by the year of 2021.
