Google Provided Free Wi-Fi to 100 Railway Stations in India
Google has been provided Free Wi-Fi usage for passengers in hundred Railway Stations in India successfully, which was announced by Google Company on Thursday of this week and also mentioned that this achievement is a milestone for providing Railwire free public Wi-Fi in Indian railway stations, Udhagamandalam railway station is the last free Wi-Fi station of this year and Mumbai Central railway station is the first free Wi-Fi provided station.
The Google Company was set a goal to provide free Wi-Fi hotspot to four hundred Indian railway stations, for this year they decided to install minimum hundred railway stations and they has successfully installed free Wi-Fi service to the hundred Indian railway stations, they would be expected to install remaining three hundred railway station in coming days and company has introduced Google Station for provide Wi-Fi hotspots in public places to easy access.
Indian Goggle Company, Connectivity Country Head, Gulzar Azad has mentioned that “We’re really excited about reaching this milestone and it is an incredible feeling to look back and see how far we’ve come since we announced that we were partnering with Indian Railways and RailTel to provide Wi-Fi at 400 railway stations throughout the country. But what has really inspired us are the stories of how people are using this high-speed access to the full and open Internet. They’re using Railwire Wi-Fi to be more productive with their time and to get things done more efficiently.”
According to the Google Company statement to the press, “Over 10 million people who pass through these stations every day now have an access to fast Internet speed to stream (or offline) an HD video, research their destination or download a new book or game for the journey ahead. With over 5 million monthly users, the Google Railtel Wifi is helping millions of Indians discover the benefits of Internet with 15,000 first time users connecting to the network every day.
